Ingredients
  

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • ¼ cup sake
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic optional

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine sake, soy sauce, mirin, sugar, grated ginger, and garlic.
  • Place salmon fillets into the marinade, ensuring they're fully coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Remove salmon from marinade, shaking off excess liquid. Cook salmon fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side, until crispy and golden.
  • Alternatively, place marinated salmon on a lined baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes.
  • Serve warm with steamed rice, vegetables, or your favorite side dishes.
